Colorado Man Fined $50 For Using Device To Change Traffic Lights
A Longmont, Colorado man was cited and fined $50 on March 29 for using a device he purchased on eBay for $100 to change traffic lights from red to green. The device is similar to ones used by fire departments to change lights when they are responding to emergencies. He was caught when traffic engineers noticed disruptions in the lights always seemed to occured when a white Ford pickup truck was in the area (although he'd been using the device for almost two years).
